Rahma Dekow Omar

Rahma is the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Manager at USDI. In her role, Rahma oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive GESI strategies. Her responsibilities include analysing organizational structures, policies, and practices to identify areas for improvement. She collaborates closely with various departments to integrate GESI principles into the fabric of the organization, fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, and everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive.
Before joining USDI, she served as a County Chief Officer for Wajir & Garissa Counties and served in the education ministry for 19 years, where she managed projects aimed at promoting social justice and gender equality in diverse communities.
Rahma holds a Master’s degree in Management of Education in Developing countries.
