With support from the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI), the USDI spearheaded the Nairobi City Sub-National Government Stocktake. The primary objective of this initiative was to integrate the voices of local communities in the global stocktake process. The outcomes of the stocktake were subsequently integrated into the global stocktake report, which was launched during the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP 28) in Dubai. USDI collaborated with various stakeholders, including the Nairobi City County Government, the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), universities, colleges, and other stakeholders.
